City of Royston Approves Water Tank Proposal
Aug 12, 2015
Last month Steve Fortmann met with Royston’s City Council to discuss his proposal to use the Water Tower in town for Paladin’s high speed internet service. The council has approved the plan and Paladin Wireless will gain access to the water tower’s rail to install antennas and backhaul radios on. This base will allow residents and business within the City of Royston to subscribe to services offered by Paladin Wireless.
The lease is expected to be signed the first week of September and the installation is scheduled for the week of the 10th, weather permitting. Once the tower is live service can begin immediately and Paladin Wireless will begin to contact all ‘Charter Members’ to establish service. Subscribers to the internet service will have a small antenna installed at their home or office. These antennas will receive a signal broadcast from the radios on the water tower.
